When do you suggest getting a window treatment vendor come out to measure and quote a price? Our house is nowhere close to being ready, but we want to price a couple of vendors for Hunter Douglas shades. We were thinking of taking the person to the model home. Any thoughts/advice on how its generally done.

I had my window vendor come out after my escrow closed, because the people at the sales office told me that sometimes, windows won't be exactly the same size as the ones in the models, due to elevations, etc. My company took one week after getting the measurements to get the blinds in, and then installed the day after it came in to their office.
