I'm wanting to put together some bike and wine evenings.  We can meet at my shop - Pedego Irvine - in the Woodbridge Village Center and go for a fun ride around the amazing Irvine bike trails.  After, we can do some wine sharing in the upstairs "fun" room at Pedego Irvine.  Pedego electric bikes can be reserved for the event.  Who's in?  For you beer fans, consider this a "pedal and pub" event  8)

Sounds like a fun event!  I am a huuuuuuge fan of pedego bikes after stumbling in there after seeing a $2 movie.  I was cycling through and thought it was a regular bike shop but these are electric bikes.  Very, very fun to ride.  After test driving, the team invited me into their vip room for complimentary craft beer!

Long story short, I am sold on pedego!

Hey Resort Backyards-
We're doing a "fun" ride tomorrow evening (Friday) followed by beverage of choice (or two) in our VIP lounge.  Come if you can make it.  The beverage after will be like a wine/beer share event.  Bring your favorite beverage and your willingness to have fun.  We're meeting at the shop at 6:00.  Hope to see you.

Were should take the cars away and convert to bikes. I heard the bad drivers in Irvine are incredible with bikes before they became consumer whores.

Irvinehomeshopper-
Are you speaking in code?

The OP had to do with a bike ride and wine sharing event.  Something tells me you've already had enough wine  :)

Back on topic.... For those of you interested in some pedal and pub fun, let me know if you'd like to be added to our email list.

Pedego, I am thinking about visiting you. A couple questions -- are kid-sized bikes available? Second question is if there is a weight limit on these electric(?) bikes? I wonder if my husband might be too "manly" for these bikes. I don't really understand how these bikes work or what their capacity is. Lastly, do they make any noises while running? Thanks.

P.S. I forgot about me. Are the seats & handlebars adjustable for the long-legged among us, just like a normal bike?

Hello SoCal-

Regarding kids bikes, unfortunately California law states that you're required to be at least 16-years-old to ride electric bikes.  Having said that, we have trailers, tandems and tag-alongs, which pretty much cover the full range for those under 16.  As for a weight limit, we don't really have an established weight limit and I know we've had riders in excess of 300lbs easily riding our bikes.  And yes, our bikes can accommodate tall riders (I'm 6'4").  And no, the bikes are actually very quite.

I look forward to meeting you  :D
