<p>Did anyone attend the Avenue One "event" featuring "polynesian music" and "cool tropical drinks?" They're actually handing out the koolaid themselves! They were offering a $15,000 "Aloha Bonus" and if you brought a friend, you could get an extra $5,000 (when the friend closes escrow of course). LOL. That would have to be some industrial strength koolaid to get any takers.</p>
 
I didn't attend, but they're out of their gourd if they think they can sell at those prices. I think the whole 92612 hi-rise condo area is going to get hammered in the next few years. There's maybe 15 people living in each building, all the rest are investors. Avenue One's going to have the same problem.

I still remember when they began construction back in '05. Prices were: 600 sq. ft = 600k.....700 sq. ft = 700k. Outrageous.
 
Central Park West must be next in line serving up that Koolaid now, their prices seem vintage 2005/2006 too. Any idea how sales are going over there?
 
<p>It would be interesting to find out. They keep offering bigger and bigger benefits, but no real big price reductions. For me, they offered a 600sqft place for 360k with 2 years of HOA fees paid as well as all closing costs. The hoa fees worked out to something like 350 a month and the closing was close to 15k So not a real big break... this was 2006ish but I backed out when i got cold feet. anyways good luck and don't work too hard.</p>
