When my husband and I were first dating his dad came down to the beach where we were having a relaxing afternoon reading in the sun. When he saw my Economist he asked me what it was and whether it was a liberal magazine. He had me pegged for one of those evil lefties and was convinced that anything I read must be left leaning. Well, I guess I'll have to go back and tell him that I was wrong because The Economist is officially endorsing Obama.

Hat tip to Barry over at the Big Picture. He has remained independent throughout this year, especially in pointing out how it wasn't solely Fannie and Freddie to blame, including this piece of videos on W supporting the same things the right now blames for this mess.

Seriously, I just got goosebumps.

Reminds me of the time I marched outside the White House at the end of Bush 41's first term, chanting "4 more weeks !" with about 500,000 other people.

edit. decided to not threadjack. ;)

Yeah, Graph has been eagerly checking the mail ever since he saw that blog post. He is currently sitting on my couch, reading me parts of the article.

Gosh, I hope he wins.

Several of our neighbors are planning to toast Obama's victory out in the street with the best champagne we can find. I really hope we get to do it.
