I'm noticing a number of new listings over the past few weeks that are coming from purchases made in 2003 and are listing at/near break-even.

Any opinion from the group on whether these sellers are serious? Any other ideas about what might be motivating these listings?

The homeowners need to sell, but don't want to lose any money so they list the home at the break even point even if the house is worth less than that. Just a guess.
