I wonder whether the list of universities was super-competitive, without a range of schools. One might imagine only Cal-tech, MIT, the top Ivies, Cal, UCLA. (and yes, getting into the top UCs is difficult from out of state). What about Illinois, Michigan, etc ?

the $600 price point for the budget line is hard to swallow. it may be much 'better' than the $430 SE, but there is a large segment of the customers who do not have sophisticated needs but want to remain in the apple ecosystem. I guess apple decided they are willing to ditch the cheapskates.

Teachers? The one that I know work pretty darn hard during their workday, then coach or advise in the afternoon, then prep or grade nights/weekends. And generally are not well paid, despite having a master's degree.
