Thinking of buying in Portola Springs. Few questions…

Personally, I think Woodbury is the best pick from all of those choices. More variety in home styles and architecture in comparison to CV East and the new phase of Portola Springs...LOTS of amenities and parks, convenient shopping center in the community, etc.

We had Creamistry, but it closed a few years ago. You can always go to Cauldron Ice Cream off MacArthur and Bristol.

    Irvine Crime Wave

I was at the Costco center and there was a helicopter hovering very very low and the freeway was completely stopped and traffic was blocked by officers at the Alton exit with police on the loudspeaker. I was wondering what was going on, but I'm guessing it had to do with this.

Handel's has almost too many flavors and it's your run of the mill classic ice cream shop. I also think it was hyped up because it wasn't in OC until 2017 or 2018 I believe. The first time I ever had it was actually in Carlsbad and that location was crazy busy. Wanderlust is a trendy LA ice...

Thinking of buying in Portola Springs. Few questions…

It's hard to say what the downsides are for Cypress Village East because it's subjective. It's a small community, so there aren't many amenities inside as Cypress Village across Sand Canyon. The upside is that you don't pay the Great Park MR and taxes, but can cross the street and be at the...

Thinking of buying in Portola Springs. Few questions…

I wouldn't completely rule out Cypress Village because of the school, I would evaluate everything overall. Which part of CV are you looking at? Are you looking both at the original CV and East? Irvine has always had low income housing sprinkled in so I wouldn't write off CV because of that.

Thinking of buying in Portola Springs. Few questions…

    6) There have been and will always be fires in Portola Springs. 7) Irvine High has an interesting reputation in Irvine, but I think it's just due to the typical "my school/my kid's school is better than yours" mumbo jumbo; Irvine schools are top tier, period. I went to University High and every...

They closed that one too? Hopefully the Sand Canyon one doesn't close. That's the last one in Irvine.

My favorite used to be the sweet potato fries, but they recently switched to a crisscut version that isn't as good. I also recommend downloading the app if you go often because then you get points for discounts/free items.

2 Floor 4-5 Bedroom Homes in Great Park

Floorplans are up now for these two tracts. I'm actually surprised that Taylor Morrison chose to go with traditional SFRs for Lily versus the rest of the surrounding home styles. The plans and exteriors are very boring though.

New Detached Condos Coming Soon at Los Olivos

I could've sworn I saw a post about this neighborhood not too long ago, but I can't find it. There are new detached condos coming to Los Olivos. I thought they were initially supposed to be SFRs, but I guess that changed. I don't see any plans yet, but I found information on the tract. It will...

Hey they must've finally gotten the first giant round of MR and taxes from the GP residents! 🤑

    Lower priced parts of Irvine?

Greentree and College Park are both nice family friendly neighborhoods in Irvine. I think the neighborhoods in the Walnut area of Irvine have always been lower priced because they're not as "pretty" as some of the other parts of Irvine. I think this is due to the fact that many of these homes...

Makes sense. I think Spoons was where Taco Bell is if I remember correctly and then they built the taco bell from the ground up like Jack in the Box.

Interesting Turtle Rock remodel with a WTF price

Never been much of a fan of this place...I guess it looks better now.
