New Listing - Highland Plan 1 detached home @ Portola Springs (119 White Jasmine)

Its a great floor plan. The way its laid out, proportioned, and the tall ceilings all make it feel bigger than it is. Crazy to think these started at what, 1.2?

Enjoy! Is the pool open yet? We love spending the summers at the community pool in baker ranch, TB does a great job with amenities.

I am only referring to CompSci. Maybe it’s reversed for everything else. What is your profession?

I’m not sure what that means. Also, in general, most people regard CMU as having a more rigorous curriculum than CalTech. It just doesn’t matter though, you have the same interview process at these tech companies regardless of your degree. You are however much more likely to get internships...

Keep in mind, that aside from getting internships, no one gives a shit about your degree in tech. I work at one of the top tech companies known for its pay, perks and outrageous interview process, and know people here from MIT and Stanford and also people without degrees and I can’t tell them...

New Toll Brothers Home Lake Forest 4bd/4bth for rent, $5500/month + utilities

This is a good example of why young people should have roommates. Would you rather live in a cramped one bedroom for $2500 a month or have “half” of a four bedroom with a patio, driveway etc. no brainer here if you can find anyone reasonable.

How high will mortgage rates climb in the next 36 months?

In a low interest rate environment yeah, housing returns are pretty close to guaranteed.

How high will mortgage rates climb in the next 36 months?

Let me know what broker can get you 5x leverage with no recourse

How high will mortgage rates climb in the next 36 months?

Because you can get better returns? A lot of investors are break even with rents and just use their leverage as an appreciation play. If you see RE staying flattish for 5 years but think TSLA is going to the moon, you sell.

Observations from the front lines of the Irvine housing market?

My handle is a bit out dated. Also, I’ve been coding for cash since high school. So I remember the dotcom crash. Twitter is on a hiring spree btw. Think they just want to employ people for fun? Are you a PM btw?

Observations from the front lines of the Irvine housing market?

Not true in the big tech companies. Also my RSUs have been flat at my company. You seem to be cherry picking a lot of your points.

The Meadows, Lake Forest by Toll Brothers

New to the area? I’ve really enjoyed being close to the town center and Bodhi coffee is my favorite in all of OC!

New Toll Brothers Home Lake Forest 4bd/4bth for rent, $5500/month + utilities

I always wondered about people asking an insane amount in rent that they have no hope of getting. Is that some accounting trick where they can write off the loss, or inflate the value of their assets at the cost of cash flow?

    New communities in Portola Springs

Aah, ok then that is way less egregious in terms of price comparison. I just saw the website’s landing page where it had prices but it didn’t specify view lot. still the interiors look poor compared to so many other builders in that price range. I think having ~3500sq ft and not having a den...

The plan 2 ra why does ravello look like a big condo when I walk through it though? It really feels “cheap” compared to Evergreen or my favorite, Cetara. Like it says plan 2 starts at 4m plus. Is that the model cause otherwise that’s a joke.

    New communities in Portola Springs

I’m not saying one should *buy* Evergreen over someplace in Irvine, i’m just saying it’s sad how crappy the model 3 ravello feels compared to evergreen’s models. It’s just depressing, especially given the delta in price.

    New communities in Portola Springs

I get the appeal of Irvine, but if I was buying plan 3 of Ravello for what, 3M and someone took me to the Evergreen models in The Meadows i’d cry. For substantially less you get *such* a nicer house, at least from how the models feel. Very similar floorplan but the much more expensive one...

    New communities in Portola Springs

I can’t imagine living in a house with a formal living room and dining room in anything smaller than 3500 sq ft. You certainly will have a cramped kitchen, and then it’s weird because the people cooking or prepping are separated out, and likely the dining room is a bit cramped. It’s also...
