So many articles on this with nothing more than a ready, fire, aim mentality. Funny how the very people that accuse others of spreading conspiracy theories and misinformation are the same people guilty of doing exactly that

How do you feel about male and female only? One of the lowest concern for voters (which shows progress) yet a statement about that had to be made?

So what you are saying is that you deliberately posted a picture you knew was misinformation? And then you criticize the reaction when the misinformation is pointed out? Then you accuse people of having a better than thou attitude? ... when in the past you have been very good at pointing out the warts on the other side; so much so that if you hadn't commented on being an independent I would have thought you are a democrat.

By posting only the photo and not the video you took it out of context. When I watched the video I got the impression Musk was overcome by emotion and he was gesturing "my heart goes out to you, all the people of America" which he said right after that photo was taken. For me, I look at putting a man on Mars as "why, what is the purpose of that and couldn't we better spend money elsewhere?" but the same could be said of JFK's call to put a man on the moon (which happened after only 7 years). We got alot of other research out that of besides planting a flag. Who knows what we might gain, not me for sure. Lord knows we have wasted a whole lot of money on wars and fraud that could have put us on Mars and the fact is that without Elon we wouldn't be anywhere as far along as we r on space technology. The only way we get the money for that is if he's successful in cutting spending elsewhere. Lets hope he manages to get even half of what he was yapping about. I'd be pretty grateful if he can do that.
 
Landing on Mars is a folly. Need to fix problems on Earth before we mess up another planet.

In my opinion, the video looks worse. But the point was what kind of reaction would you all have if I gave no context. That's exactly what misinformation/disinformation is.

Irvine Buyer is just frustrated because I'm truly an independent and I don't rely on political ideology to form my opinions.

I notice no one has responded to the male/female proclamation... Let's just rewind DEI a few decades.
 
Mars is and will always be a dead planet. With it's magnetosphere wiped out, Elon may land there, but the astronauts aren't going to live long or prosper given the radiation levels.

Would a Mars trip broaden our science? Sure, but I'm with IHO on this one. Fix what we've got first here on Earth before trying to leap to another planet. As I heard the other day:

"Intellect tells us a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom tells us not to use it in a fruit salad..."
 
On the pardons: Bring each and every one up to Congress for an open hearing. Miley for treason, Fauchi for illegal gain of function research, Cheney for witness tampering, and Biden's brother for money laundering., etc. If they refuse to appear, perjure themselves, claim a forgetful memory, or invoke the 5th (which a pardon nullifies), jail them for contempt of Congress, similar to what happened to Steve Bannon and others.

When there wasn't a perp walk in 2008 for bankers and mortgage exec's, a terrible precedent was set. Let's not let history repeat itself.
 
Elon has been watching too much "For All Mankind". If anything, we can mine the moon first. Elon does sort of remind me of a young Gru (and you know who is a minion).

immediate or Blood family members? Preemptive of any charges being filed or investigations being done. Grandfathering the pardon back decades? Who? And Jared Kushner‘s father doesn’t count.
