Troop, it looks like your <a href="http://www.redfin.com/CA/Palm-Springs/566-S-Calle-Santa-Rosa-92264/home/5692050">dream house </a>is playing the MLS Relisting Game. Redfin has Days on Market as 18, when we know it's been on the market for more than a year now.

Looks like they are officially underwater since the owners purchased the house for $225 on 4/4/03 (according to zillow).

It's now listed at $219,900 - and that doesn't include the RE Commission.

In-laws would like to have a nice winter gateway place close to golf course and us. Looks like PS area is the way to go. However, I don't know the area that much, I went golfing a few times, but never with the idea of looking at neighborhoods and so on. I saw there was quite a few places for 55+ which could be a nice option for them.

Where do I start? I'd like to peak there interest and have a few options to present them before they invest too much time (not very good with Internet and not within driving distance).

Roo, exsocallandmerchant has a friend/business partner who is a realtor in PS. PM him.

** Biggest issue: Stay out of the windy areas...stay South.

I'd still wait another year though...things are crashing hard out there.

Dang....my Kings Road house has gone off the market. I'll be interested in seeing what it sold for (or if it got taken back by the bank).

Bix, was that the container house?

For those of you interested in Palm Springs, <a href="http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/1240-South-Manzanita-Ave_Palm-Springs_CA_92264_1109231960">here</a> is a one of a kind of home that is being sold fully furnished.

It was so, um, original to its period that I couldn't not share.

I think it was Liberace's weekend home.

I was thinking this could be the set for the next Austin Powers movie. "Austin Powers retires and plays golf"

[quote author="MalibuRenter" date=1227600996]Here is a fabulous illustration of speculation gone mad. The price peaked at 12.5 times the 2001 price. It's now dropped 86% off peak, and is a 2002 rollback.
