    The History of Irvine

Joan Irvine smith was a fun gal! Went to a polo or 2 at her sjc property. She loved her horses and drove a super cool older Mercedes station wagon…I looked up to her.

Hand written and in person is best. In business and schooling. You can show them what you can offer as parents.

I look at all this time and money people put into themselves only work and create for someone else in exchange for money and a couple weeks off a year. They are making money off of you. When I was in the workforce I looked at that time as practical training for starting and owning my own...

Kumon for remedial makes sense to me but these kids going to get ahead? Get ahead of what exactly?

Hmmm. Seems like every Asian kid thinks they can follow some formula, tutor their life away, kumon, sat prep, a sport, some fake interest in art, and toss in a violin…it’s too common now. Nothing special about it. He should have lead with the video, show he has always been unique not just the...

I have tried. They think I don’t value education. Rude. Then I explain we are all living in the same area so the goal can be achieved even as an artist. The artist works from home, no set hours, no boss….sounds like the American dream to me.

The starving artist theory is antiquated and disrespectful. The artist in my family is by far the most financially successful in their career, the $1,182,000 MIT number for 20 years was accomplished in 3 years. I would never discourage my children from choosing their own career path.

I guess it depends where you live, but around here that isn’t very much.

I have never believed in the SAT. I do think they should be eliminated all together. It’s a waste of your child’s time to spend years studying and taking tests. I have relatives that have gone to usc, ucla and art center of pasadena. The art school was the hardest to get into and by far the most...

Is this money per year? Or in total over 20 years?

Is the ROI supposed to be the money earned by going to that particular school? If so, none of those are very impresive.
