A typical lunch order would probably be 1-2 mains at $6 each, plus an optional rice or noodles at like $3. It is a good choice for small meals if you have a small appetite, need to feed a child, or are on a diet or incretin drug. If you start loading up on items, the value proposition is not strong.

Siam Station is very good. The original location is good for takeout but has no atmosphere compared to the new one in Cypress Village. It isn't a leader on value, but I think it is the best tasting Thai food in Irvine. I think historically Irvine has had great Chinese and Korean food, with...

Tustin Marketplace, Tokyo Central, Diho Bakery, etc.

I finally visited the sushi restaurant (Waka Sakura) attached to Tokyo Central after waiting out the lines. Walked in for a Sunday lunch and was seated immediately. Good quality and decent prices for nigiri. I enjoyed the salmon lovers 5 piece for $12. For about $60, the two of us ate very very...

    ICE or EV?

I'm still holding out for a nicer version of the ID Buzz and/or the actual existence of a Lucid Gravity

7 Japanese BBQ & Yakitori Bar (AYCE), Irvine

I'm always worried about getting sick at AYCE sushi places - were you ok?

    President Trump

If you think WSJ's news section is an unreliable source, I don't think you're ever changing your mind. I think the real story here is the federal authoritarianism on display and I'm sad that nobody seems to give a shit.

The blue corn sourdough from 61 hundred bread is some good shit. Expensive but really really good

https://www.wsj.com/us-news/protests-los-angeles-immigrants-trump-f5089877?st=3GNBMK&reflink=article_copyURL_share In Irvine, Calif., ICE agents drove a phalanx of military vehicles in the Orange County suburb to arrest a person, though not for illegal immigration. They were seeking a...

Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

Pool has been empty but I joined fairly recently so I haven't been a member long enough to see the summer. The on-site cafe is a great amenity. It is actually a little bit less healthy than I would expect. There is in fact a bar with alcohol where people sometimes hang out but it's not really a...

Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

I'm a member at Lifetime in Irvine. My membership fee is similar to what you quoted, with an extra $75/month for a kids club membership (unlimited babysitting up to 3hr/day). While it is really expensive, I have had motivation issues going to the gym in the past. My opinion is that the most...

I'm much more concerned about freshness and quality over price, to be honest. I'm hoping that the new Irvine location will be a more premium, actually fresh offering

    ICE or EV?

Too bad we don't have nice walkable streets with low speed traffic in any reasonably sized city in USA/Canada.

I'm still surprised that He's Noodle Zone randomly closed. They seemed to be doing better than C Fruitlife.

We had Everspring. It was...fine. The owner was very friendly and is clearly trying, and I am willing to pay more for fancier orange chicken ($18 it seems), but it just is nowhere as good as the fancy $20 orange chicken at Meizhou Dongpo.
